Careers in the Common Good (CCG) was created out of a desire to contribute to a more open, innovative Eastern Europe. We offer two intensive, ten-day courses, located at a peaceful campus on the outskirts of Budapest.

The CCG Summer Course (11–19 July 2020), a series of interactive workshops about career-building for 18-25-year-old Europeans

The CCG Project Bootcamp (24 July–2 August 2020), a programme for Europeans 25+ who are already in the workforce and are ready to develop a project to implement in their job or community

Both courses emphasise sustainability, social progress and social entrepreneurship. In addition to learning from young professionals thriving in varied careers in the region, participants have the opportunity to practice presentation, debate and negotiation skills in an international and diverse community.

We care about passion: Whether you have a project in mind and just need the tools and knowledge to bring it to life or know you want to make a difference but aren’t sure how, we’re ready to work with you.

The Summer Course is designed to inspire young adults from Eastern and Central Europe to pursue work in the common good in ways that align with their passions. Participants spend ten days with workshops taught by dynamic young professionals from the region, guided self-reflection and a practical project that they can implement in their own communities. Through this, participants gain a better understanding of themselves, their goals and their options for the future.

The Summer Course is an immersive experience. We believe that learning should be interactive and should neither begin nor end in the classroom. We spend a day exploring Budapest and a day hiking in the Pilis forest, and past workshops have included panels, a chance for participants to learn to make their own toothpaste and testing out cargobikes on campus. Additionally, workshop facilitators are available before and after teaching to share and answer questions in a more informal setting.

Project Bootcamp is designed to encourage the career growth and entrepreneurship skills of young adults in Central and Eastern Europe who have embarked upon their careers and are looking to take the next step.

Like the Summer Course, Project Bootcamp combines interactive workshops with a practical element, all emphasising the common good. We focus on real-world examples and skills and knowledge that can be applied in participants' own lives and careers. Because Project Bootcamp participants are further along in their education or careers, the Social Project takes a much bigger role in Project Bootcamp. Participants come in with a concept for a project that they would like to implement in or out of their current work environment, and over the course they collaborate closely with course facilitators to develop and polish that project.

Through self-reflection and course experiences outside the classroom (including a day in Budapest and a day hiking in the Pilis forest), Project Bootcamp participants are also encouraged to further their understanding of themselves, their strengths and skills and their personal and professional goals.
