Within the project "Encouraging dialogue between young people from Serbia and Kosovo", we are organizing workshops for journalists, sociologists, historians, political scientists, cultural scientists and all those interested in the process of reconciliation between young people from Serbia and Kosovo.

The ORAL HISTORY workshop is designed to equip participants with the skills of documenting and archiving memories through conversations with people of different profiles. In connection with historical events, people have different experiences, so their memories and experiences intersect with what is remembered as a collective social consciousness. Learning about their stories will allow us to better understand historical events. Participants will be introduced to the methodology of interviewing and researching the oral history and will learn how to ethically document the memories that are revealed.

The workshop will explain the difference between oral history and other research methods, as well as what is special about oral history. After the workshops, the participants will do interviews and directly apply the knowledge gained from the workshops.

ORAL HISTORY workshops will be held from the 22nd to the 24th of October in Novi Sad.

The project is implemented by: Kulturanova, Novi Sad, Center for Regionalism, Novi Sad, Center for Democratic Development "Europolis", Novi Sad and the Oral History Initiative, Pristina. The project is supported by the National Endowment for Democracy Fund.

The agenda will be given to the selected participants after the closing of the applications, and the applications last until October 15, 2021.
